- Currently, most of e-mail services usually use SSL connection to access e-mail accounts using SMTP, POP3 and IMAP. Please note that Windows Mail does not suppport Explicit SSL mode (STARTTLS, port 587) when sending e-mails via SMTP. However, e-mail services usually support Implicit SSL mode (port 465 or 25), which can be easily configured in Windows Mail.
